Drive Malta on your own terms.

Run from the island. A modern fleet, one clear price, and a person in Ħal Qormi who picks up the phone.

Why book direct

An island company, not a call centre.

  1. 01

    One price, itemised

The figure you're quoted is the figure on the agreement. Extras are listed before you book — never discovered at the desk.

  2. 02

    Your flight, tracked

Give us the flight number and a delay becomes our problem. Someone is there when you actually land.

  3. 03

    Cover in plain English

What's covered, what the excess is, and what it costs to reduce it — explained before you sign, not after.

  4. 04

    A local number

A flat battery in Mdina or a ZTL sign in Valletta — you call us and you reach Malta.

Before you set off

Malta drives on the left.

It surprises a lot of visitors. The short version is below; the guide covers roundabouts, the Valletta ZTL, parking and fuel.

  • Keep left, overtake on the right. Roundabouts run clockwise.
  • 80 km/h on open roads, 50 km/h in built-up areas.
  • Valletta has a ZTL — a charged controlled-access zone by day.
  • Nothing is far. 27 km end to end; allow for traffic, not distance.

Questions

The things people ask.

What do I need to bring?

A full driving licence held for the required minimum period, your passport or ID card, and a card in the main driver's name. If your licence isn't in the Latin alphabet, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it.

Can I take the car to Gozo?

Yes. The Ċirkewwa–Mġarr ferry takes cars and the crossing is about 25 minutes. Let us know when you book so it's noted on your agreement — the ferry ticket is paid at the terminal.

Which side of the road does Malta drive on?

The left, like the UK. Roundabouts run clockwise and you give way to traffic already on the roundabout. Our driving guide walks through the rest.

Where do I collect the car?

At Malta International Airport — we meet you in the arrivals hall — or at our Ħal Qormi base, ten minutes from the airport. We don't deliver to hotels or private addresses.

What if my flight is delayed?

Give us your flight number when you book and we track it. If you land late, we're still there — no need to call from the plane.

Ready when you are
